The aim of the NifTools project is to build software that enables users to create and edit content stored in the NetImmerse File Format. These NIF files store the 3D models used in several popular PC games based on the [http://www.ndl.com/ NetImmerse/Gamebryo game engine]. So far, we have focused our efforts on NIF files from TES3: Morrowind, Freedom Force, Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich, Dark Ages of Camelot, Zoo Tycoon 2, Civilization IV, and TES4: Oblivion.
